Each one of our craftsmen has over ten years of experience and have all gone through a thorough background check. Handyman Connection of Edmonton's team of professionals is passionate about taking your home improvement dreams and making them a reality.
Karen has been working with Handyman Connection for 12 years and enjoys the relationships she’s developed with customers, craftsmen and the entire network of Handyman Connection owners and staff. Karen is married to Keith they have two boys and two dogs.
Alex has been a handyman and renovator with Handyman Connection since 2003. He has now moved in to the office to serve as a Customer & Craftsman Service Representative. Alex has over 25 years of experience in Business Management, Customer Service as well as Technical Skills in the trades. As a craftsman, he specialized in bathroom renovations.

Ben has been working with Handyman Connection since 2013 and has been in the trades for 20+ years. Ben says he started out by putting holes in the walls and then had to learn how to patch and repair the holes with his father. He enjoys math and science and how it applies to his trades.
Ben loves basketball and has even entered a few slam dunk competitions however these days most of his spare time is spent with his 3 smaller children, two girls and 1 boy
Omer has been in the trades since 1995. He finds every day challenging and enjoys dealing with a variety of people and projects. He considers himself a perfectionist and knows that if he is not happy with the end result the homeowner won’t be happy either.
Omer has been married to his wife, Kelly, for 35 years and they have two boys, a 29 year old who is currently working with a homebuilder and his 18 year old is training to be a mechanic.
Nathan has been with Handyman Connection since spring 2013. Handy work has always interested him, right from a young age. When all they boys were playing street hockey after school, he was at home watching shows like Hometime, and This Old House. Handy work quickly became a passion and a hobby of his, as various projects came up in his own home or friends places. Nathan has since found a love in mastering his craft and always takes pride in his work. Doing those small things that sets him apart from the regular DIYers.
Nathan loves what he does and has created a nice network of repeat cliental. He especially looks forward to being part of your next project or honey-do list.
Neal has worked for Handyman Connection since 2009 doing small renovation and repair jobs. Outside of Handyman work, Neal enjoys traveling, fishing, golfing and spending time with his family. He is an avid genealogist and volunteers time with the local genealogical society.
Colin has been a plumber since 1993. His experience has been primarily in residential installs and repair. He enjoys repair work, and meeting new customers.
When he’s not plumbing, he can be found drumming in his band at various casinos and events with the band in the Edmonton area.
Colin is also an aviation enthusiast.
Franjo has been working with Handyman Connection since the summer of 2001. He enjoys meeting new people and helping them with their small pluming repairs both inside and outside of the home.
Eric is an Electrician with over 15 years experience. He enjoys working with residential homeowners on a variety of projects from start to finish.
Outside of work Eric enjoys windsurfing and dirt biking around the Edmonton area
Steve is a semi-retired Electrician with 40 years experience in residential work. Steve and his wife spend their summers at Island Lake by Athabasca and as much of the winter as they can at their home in Palm Springs. They recently have taken on responsibility of a rescue dog, named Ash, from Mexico.
Michael is both a loving husband and father of four. He and his family moved from Winnipeg to Edmonton six years ago to embark on a new journey and career.
Michael has been working with Handyman Connection since 2013, having worked in the painting trade for many years previously. Much of his strong knowledge and years of experience in drywall installation, drywall taping/repair, and painting were taught to him by his father. As a business owner and professional painter his father taught Michael to be a perfectionist, honest and hard-working. Michael’s father also bestowed the following advice which Michael follows with every job he takes on: “Always treat everyone’s home as if it was yours”, “Never cut corners, no matter what,” and “Look at the work you’re doing and ask yourself, Will the homeowner and you be happy with the end result?”.
Shelly has always had a passion for carpentry, as a young girl, she could be found building or tearing something down. With over 20 years working in the trades, her experience ranges from rough carpentry to fine finishing, new builds to renovations.
Shelly takes pride in all tasks, and won’t leave customers unsatisfied, and enjoys using her skills to make things right.
She is a proud mother of two sons and one granddaughter.
Larry has been in the trades for over 12 years, his specialty is finish carpentry. He enjoys helping homeowners and making them feel comfortable with the process of the renovation until completion of the job, in fact he volunteers with Habitat for Humanity as he likes helping people out and they always have a variety of jobs to assign to him.
In his spare time Larry likes to be outdoors, hiking, cycling, and walking.
Tim has been a cabinet maker and carpenter for 17 years as he has always loved working with wood materials, working out of his dad’s shop, eventually deciding to go into the trade himself.
He enjoys outdoor winter sports including skiing and skating and golfing during the summer months.
Calvin is a Journeyman Carpenter and has over eighteen years experience in the construction industry; including being a business owner. Custom wood-working and finishing being his forte.
During the years of operating his own carpentry business, Calvin learned the importance of quality work and customer service.
In his spare time, Calvin and his wife work on remodeling and customizing their 1964 vintage camper. Calvin also enjoys camping and spending time with his grandchildren.
Bill has been working in construction and renovations for the last 30 years. Bill has always had an interest in framing, and then into new home, multi family construction, and renovations.
In his spare time Bill enjoys playing pool in local league play.
Jim has over 50 years of experience in carpentry, including finish carpentry, cabinet making and teaching mill work-cabinet making. Jim has been working with Handyman Connection since 2006 both in Edmonton and Saskatoon.
Jim his proud of his wife, 3 children and grandchildren.
Barry was raised in an Alberta farming community where he learned carpentry, plumbing and electrical repairs from his father and other tradesmen. As a teenager Barry moved to the N.W.T. and got into aviation becoming a Bush Pilot and Flight Engineer for 10 years. Moving back to Alberta he opened his own Aviation Repair Depot in the 1970’s and also built his own Aircraft hangar. After nearly 40 years in aviation Barry changed careers and became the Facility Manager at the Edmonton Humane Society (SPCA) which he did for over 7 years. During his career he has learned all aspects of construction and repair from painting to welding.
Darren is a licensed Plumber and Gas fitter with over 35 years of experience. Darren specializes in residential plumbing systems, including fixture repair and replacement, bathroom rough ins, plumbing renovations and boiler repairs.
Johnny has been working in the construction industry for 10 years and enjoys his time working on projects with homeowners. Johnny feels that it is important to build trusting relationships with homeowners to ensure their projects are completed properly.
In his spare time Johnny enjoys fishing and something you may find interesting about him is he has a passion for mushrooms, which extends from his childhood with his family and their search for edible mushrooms in Quebec.
Growing up around the farm Chad was exposed to an ongoing list of projects to help out, from fixing fences to building corrals, sheds, shelters and other random construction projects. Repairs around the home were performed by family and he was always keen to help out.
Fast forward to my adult years and Chad carried on the skills learned earlier in life. After renovating his first home, including framing, drywalling, flooring, tiling, electrical, counters, painting, landscaping and building a fence and a shed. HeI saw the rewards of his work and purchased another two consecutive homes and renovated them. Soon family and friends were requesting him to perform various odd jobs around their homes and all were completed to their satisfaction.
In 2009 Chad decided to expand his work and started to advertise his handyman skill and quickly landed a contract with a property management company servicing 17 different properties for them on regular basis, completing everything from minor fixes to full suite renovations.
In late 2010 Chad was presented with a career opportunity that changed his focus from full time handyman work taking it back to causal work performing odd jobs as his schedule afforded.
Starting in high school with a 3 year course, which included construction technology, cabinet making and drafting, Chris became very skilled, he also received an award for cabinet making, the Golden Hammer award for construction technology and outstanding achievement for award for this course. Chris enjoys the variety of jobs that are presented to him by homeowners, every day is a new adventure and a new challenge working with home improvements.
Chris has 4 grandchildren, he enjoys spending his time at the lake on the weekends in the summer, as well and fishing and hunting.
Journeyman Floor Installer
Starting out with a part time job at a flooring warehouse 32 years ago, Kevin has an incredible amount of experience and knowledge in the flooring and remodeling industry. Kevin enjoys working on projects and seeing the customer’s joy at the end of the project with the final outcome and exceeding expectations.
Kevin is married with 4 daughters.
With over 22 years experience in the trades Alain has had many life experiences, including 8 years in a boarding school, he has learned Latin and Greek languages, he has been a bartender, studied to become a dentist and worked on a military base in Germany, as a cabinet maker. Alain enjoys renovations in both commercial and residential homes he is very proud to stand back and see a completed job that he has just produced.
Alain has a black lab and two Siamese cats, he enjoys dancing or being outdoors, fishing, camping, and canoeing.
Walter has over 20 years experience in all aspects of renovations and has been working at Handyman Connection since April of 2014. He has a great sense of humor, is very easy going, and enjoys working with homeowners during their renovations. He is a single father of 18 year old son, Cole, and 22 year daughter, Kim, he is also a proud grandfather or Carter who is 4 years old.
Claude is a Certified Journeyman Plumber Red Seal/Gasfitter B. C.C.A Gold Seal Supervisor with 18 years of commercial, residential and service experience. Adept at installing and estimating plumbing, gas and sheet metal he is also focuses on maintenance and repairs in homes and commercial properties and is knowledgeable in all areas of the national plumbing and gas code.
Bruno has been involved in renovations for over 17 years both with new builds and renovations. He is very confident in helping customers plan their projects and giving them the end result they expected, or better.
Brent is Alberta born and raised in a large family. He received his journeyman electrical status over 30 years ago and has worked primarily in residential construction. For many years he purchased, renovated, and sold houses in Edmonton, he has worked for close to 15 years as a residential site superintendent in new home construction. Brent has been married for 25 years and has two dogs and a cat. Time best spent golfing
or riding his motorcycle.
Having been raised on a farm, it didn’t take long for Darcy to become a jack of all trades. He has always loved building, designing, fixing and remodeling – from his own house to cabinets to anything in between. With an extensive background in machining and welding, Darcy always liked the idea of combining wood and metal. In his spare time enjoys creating pieces where he can let his creativity flow.
Tyson has been involved in construction, renovations, furniture building since he was 16 years old. He started his own business in 2003 as a finishing carpenter and has since been involved in many projects in both residential and commercial construction.
Having completed work in new home construction for various builders, and homeowners Tyson’s work is to standards and code of new home construction. He has been involved in design, right through to the finishing stages of both interior and exterior projects. Tyson prides himself on his professionalism, experience, being dependable and understanding the needs of clients.
